If everything is properly installed and configured you should be able to see the mysql program in use using the same command you’re using. Using netstat –antp, for example, you should see mysqld under program name and the port it’s associated with in the local address section.
However, this is not what netstat is reflecting. Did you run systemctl enable mysql? What image version are you using, you can check the version you’re using with configure_edison –version.
What steps or guide did you follow to install mariadb?
