With stock bios settings (no overclock and latest bios) prime95 smallFFT test makes my 4770K go to 100C (Noctua NH-U12S). CPU-Z shows that CPU core voltage gets up to 1.33V.
I changed core voltage to manual and got the CPU stable with 1.150V (I didn't do a long stability test). Isn't that way too high voltage needed for stock.
Has intel got some kind of voltage warranty?
Thank you for any help!
According to the data sheet Desktop 4th Gen Intel® Core™ Processors Datasheet, Vol. 1, see table 46, the core voltages you are reporting are expected. As for warranty, Intel's warranty covers from failures caused by operating the processor under of Intel’s published specifications and in this case your parameters are under those specifications.
