I am trying to install an O/S on a small Mini-ITX system that has a Intel D945GCLF2 motherboard.
The system has a hard drive and it is recognized in BIOS, so is my USB TEAC CD-210PU drive that I was planning on using to load the O/S with.
Problem is that I am unable to boot from the install disk in the TEAC USB CD drive, the sytem just hangs.
Bottom right hand corner of the screen show "94"
Anybody ever had that happen?
Check that your os in a cd disk and not dvd. Next check in the bios if you enable to boot through usb device and boot it first.
I found the problem but not a solution yet.
The USB ports are not working correctly until an O/S has been installed so it is possible to install the drivers for the USB ports.
That pretty much means that no USB device will work until an O/S is installed. I verified that condition because a USB mouse will not work during the initial O/S install.
The BIOS does "see" the TEAC CD-ROM drive which leads me to believe that it is indeed a BIOS problem.
I don't know why but I would guess that it is a problem with the BIOS.
