I have bought new Intel DG43NB . I am unable to run windows 7 on this . It completes the installation process. Then it shows windows is finalising your computer . Than it restarts and get stuck ( hangs ). I have tried 1) resetting CMOS 2) repartition the hard disk 3) updated the BIOS 4) have tried to install both version of windows 7 ( x86 & x64) 5) resetting the video adapter value in bios 6) have tried using different DVDs......but nothing is working ....so after struggling alot i have now installed xp....but this is very frustrating for me because earlier I had asus P5B-VM mother board ..and windows 7 was working fine .....Please help me to solve this ....
I ran into the same problems with my attempts to install Win7. Eventually I got it install by putting in a separate video card (PCIe). After completing the initial install and updating (video) drivers, I was able to take the separate card out and I have been using the onboard DVI no without issues.
No problems here!
I have a DG43NB and a q9400 (using onboard video). I procrastinated Win 7 for over 6 months because of this thread. But, after someone gave me WIn 7 update, I took a chance.
No problems going from Visa 64 to Win 7 64. I assume other peoples problems are unique to their setups.
