Aryan2411 Nov 18, 2009 2:06 AM (in response to Hein)Hello,
Have you tried to install this driver?
If it does not work, then try to install it manually?
Go to Device Manager
Rightclick on the "PCI Simple Communications controller"
Choose Update Driver Software.
Browse my Computer for driver software - browse to the directory where you have extracted the downloaded driver.
I did it last time on a test machine.
I can see there are other users trying to do that, may be you can check with them as well.

All the best,
Kind Regards,

Curious592 Nov 22, 2009 1:49 PM (in response to Hein)1 of 1 people found this helpfulSince many people have this problem with Win 7 you should mark the previous answer as answered if it works. Otherwise I'm sure you can expect a new Management Engine driver to appear for Win 7 that will remove the warning. If the CPU fan is not running at full speed you should be fine. The newer boards are very quiet since they run cooler.

hyjanks Nov 27, 2009 1:48 PM (in response to Curious592)If you got an Intel Express Installer Drivers CD with your motherboard, this is what you do to install this and other drivers:
Slip the disc into your cd/dvd drive. Go to Device Manager. Right click on the item with an exclamation mark (in this case, PCI simple communications controller). Click on Update Driver Software. Select Browse My Computer for Driver Software. Select your DVD drive. Find Drivers folder on the Driver disc. Hit Next. The driver will now be installed. Return to Device Manager to see that you no longer have an exclamation point on PCI simple communications controller.
