Thanks now got a device with Powertoggle, Power On and Power Off.
And... that works. I can use both powertoggle and power on to startup from S5.
I used old software for this. Will try tomorrow with new Myharmony.
But... and now I can help you. You have to disable Fast boot option in Windows.
After you disable fast boot and shut down Windows, you can power up with just one click.
Please try and let us know.
I use SSD in my NUC, so hard to see the difference in boot time.
WT# I went to BIOS, changed fastboot to on. Could indeed not power on with 1 click.
Then disabled fastboot again and GRRRR cannot power up anymore with 1 click.
Really strange. Will investigate more tomorrow.
Good hint. I'm sure I did disable Fast Boot when I did the first installation. But as mentioned in the linked article "In a post on the PC Master Race subreddit, a user pointed out that fast startup was re-enabled in a Windows 10 update following the release of the Fall Creators Update." So I will check tonight.
If you check, whether you need one or multiple clicks to boot the NUC, you need to wait a little while between Shut Off and Power On. If you restart immediately, one click will do. But after a while (several minutes), you will need two clicks (at least with Power Toggle).
Which BIOS version are you testing? And which is your CIR driver version?
First: I powered up the NUC with just 1 click on Power on. Really I am lost......
So I changed group policy. Now Windows shuts down when I push Power Off on the remote :-)
Not sure if I even installed the IR drivers. I downloaded latest version from Intel website, but I can't find it in device manager.
Did a power off with the remote. Waited about 1 minute and guess what ... it powers ON with 1 click again!
So maybe you have to check the fast shutdown setting. For me all is working now!
