In order for a processor to be used, it must be socket, board *and* BIOS compatible.

N.Scott.Pearson Dec 7, 2017 1:06 PM (in response to cocada)It might or it might not accept a Core 2 Quad processor; I can't tell you for sure. You must contact MSI and ask them to answer this question. In order for a particular processor to be used, it must be board, socket and BIOS compatible. Since MSI controls what the board and BIOS will support, MSI must provide the answer to this question.

7. Re: Substituição de processador
N.Scott.Pearson Dec 7, 2017 2:59 PM (in response to cocada)1 of 1 people found this helpfulWrong. Some motherboards did not provide the necessary power to the processor socket to support the Core 2 Quad processors (over Core 2 Duo processors) and this can result in damage to the processor or the motherboard. Don't install a processor unless you are sure it is supported. Bottom line, contact the board manufacturer for the answer to this question.
This is my last response on this subject. How you proceed is up to you -- but don't come back here crying if you ignore my advice and you end up frying something.
