Thank you for contacting the Intel community.
If you try straight connection instead of HDMI to DVI do you get the same problem?
Is it possible for you to try straight connection?
Regards,

Yes, that’s what I meant with straight connection.
If you are using Linux* we recommend you use the latest kernel. If you need assistance with Linux* on Intel NUC, check your distro's website and forums for peer assistance.
You can also try turning off the computer.
As you turn it back on tap the F2 key. This will load BIOS setup.
Press F9 to load defaults.
Press F10 to save and exit.
Please let me know.

niklavs Jul 11, 2017 10:07 PM (in response to Intel Corporation)Hello!
Got the HDMI to HDMI cable from Cablexpert.
And Suspending works now. So looks like the NUC doesn't know how to suspend the monitor on DVI port.Anyway, thanks for support!

I’m glad that with the new cable the issue has been resolved and yes most likely the conversion from HDMI to DVI is not recognized by the system.
I hope you can have a better experience with your unit from now on.
Best wishes,
