Thank you very much for your patience.
The iotkit-comm-c was removed from Github since it was mainly used to send data to IoT Analytics dashboard and it has been discontinued, as you can see in this link: https://communities.intel.com/thread/107871, we would like to let you know you need to remove the recipe from the image, the image file is located in <path-to>/edison-src/poky/meta-intel-edison-distro/recipes-core/images/edison-image.bb. The following lines need to be commented/removed:
IMAGE_INSTALL += "iotkit-comm-js"
IMAGE_INSTALL += "iotkit-comm-c-dev"
We apologize for the inconvenience. Currently, we’re working on it.
Regards,

Nov 17, 2016 9:01 AM (in response to Paul_B)This message was posted on behalf of Intel CorporationHi Paul,
IoT Analytics has been taken offline, please visit the The Intel® Edison Module | IoT | Intel® Software for alternative solutions. Old versions include the iotkit-comm-c recipe, so you should remove it in order to build the image as it is mentioned above.
