The 10.18.15.4256 driver is not working on my system at all.  (ASUS TP500L Series laptop)

        driver fail.JPGdriver version.jpg

Also, Windows update refused to install the latest version, I had to grab it from the link someone else posted here.  When I attempt to "Update Driver" from device manager, it goes back to 10.18.15.4248.  (Which also does not work at all.)

          All,

Tremendous thanks for your feedback. I'll reiterate post 43, and amend it. We are working diligently to get through the list of issues and we greatly appreciate the support from the community thus far. Please keep in mind when you report a new concern, please provide the information requested in the sticky [link below]. This level of information helps replicate the issues and streamlines the process to get in front of an engineer. Thanks for your patience and those of you who have been answering questions, your assists are very appreciated, that's what truly makes this a community. If you notice someone who hasn't provided the necessary information, please help refer them to the sticky. Thanks!

Default level information for reporting Graphics issues

Further, I understand your concerns and my team and I are working through the many concerns submitted via email, PM, ticketing, and communities with the highest priority and I assure you we are actively addressing them as fast as possible. If there's an issue that I or my team find to be a bug in our driver during investigation, I will be forthcoming and own it, then track it actively until it is resolved. I myself own Intel products for home use. I've always been an Intel CPU/Mobo guy. I have an HTPC I use for movies and games, so I have a personal interest/desire as well as a business commitment to help make the user experience as great as possible. I get the blackscreens, I see the corruption watching movies, I know the BSOD pains, and I get to go to work and raise heck to get them resolved for myself, and for all of you. You can bet I'm working these issues with priority. There's many issues, again not just on the communities you see, but you can bet we're working through them like we care, because we do. No I'm not a PR person, just an engineer doing his best to help, but if you don't hear from me or my team for a bit please know we do care and we're getting to your concern as fast as possible so again thank you for your patience and your commitment to making our product better through feedback.

Bryce@Intel Thanks so much for your reply.

I think part of the frustration here was because most of us wondered why we were not getting any response but it's very comforting to know that you guys are on top of it.

Waiting patiently for the next release......

After installing windows 10, I now have issues with scrolling down with the mouse scroller. Every time i use it, it will jump down half a page each time. I had this same problem when upgrading from windows 8 to 8.1. It was eventually solved with a driver update, I am however already on the latest drivers.

                        Hi all

I have a scaling issue after upgrading to WIndows 10. Almost all of my games now have two black bars either side of the screen. I couldn't install the production driver posted here because "your computer does not meet the requirement." Is there anyone can help point out where my computer does not meet the requirement to install this driver? Mine is a Dell Inspiron 1464 running on Intel(R) Core i5 (Clarkdale) with Intel(R) HD Graphic (Ironlake), 3072 MB Ram.

Almost all of my games now have two black bars either side of the screen. It happened to me once when I upgraded to Win 7 several years ago. Back then I was able to fix the issue by changing desktop to a lower resolution and choosing the option to scale to full screen in Intel Graphic Control Panel. This method does not work for Win 10. Every time I launch my games, the option changes itself to 'Maintain aspect ratio." which causes the black bars.

I tried to download this new driver to see if it fixes the problem. Unfortunately, I can't install it and it tells me that my laptop does not meet the requirement.

Another issue is my DirectX. Windows 10 is supposed to come with DirectX 12, but mine remains DirectX 10 (according to dxdiag tool). This problem seems unique to me because I haven't found someone with the same issue

I had this problem when i start a video (after that, all are good).

                          -1-.jpg

And sometime, my screen turn black and the sound stop, restart, restop, restart and the PC reboot (gfx-iu has stopped working).

I have the same issue with video on start and minimum every day system will freeze with freaky sound (only during video playback) and only reset by hardware button helps.

                          My config.:

The download says it is version 15.40.4.64.4256 yet when you install it, the version actually is 10.18.15.4256 as shown in this install screen. Whatever is being put out by Intel is simply wrong and needs to be corrected.

Hi, when I download the new driver either EXE file or ZIP my version won't change. I checked the Readme.txt in the ZIP folder which says Driver Version: 15.40.4.64.4256 BUT when I check the Installation_Readme.txt I see Intel(R) Graphics Driver: 10.18.15.4256 which is my current driver. And it doesn't matter if I download directly from Intel or use the Driver Update Utility, I don't get the new driver downloaded/installed. I took a screenshot where you can see the readme.txt and Installation_Readme.txt from the same ZIP folder I downloaded which supposed to contain the latest driver.

Please, I really would like to update my graphics driver

                                For you and for all:

Drivers 10.18.15.4256 and 15.40.4.64.4256 are equal. First numeration is used by Microsoft, second by Intel.

Also, i have bsods with Video TDR Failure (igdkmd64.sys) too. Mostly after Alt+Tab, but after Win-button too.

                                ASUS G56JR, Intel i7 4700HQ and Nvidia GTX 760m

So, and why does the Intel Driver Update Utility lists 10.18.15.4256 as installed and 15.40.64.4256 as newer driver? I wonder if the Driver Update Utility is any good then if according to you both version numbers point to the same driver yet shows them as two different ones?!

Why is everyone asking this question?

It was already said and repeated that the 10.18.15.4256 number is the only graphics driver and the 15.40.64.4256 number is the packet including the audio and graphics driver.
