I have a problem with my DH87MC, when I try to access the BIOS through F2 it freezes and I have to restart the computer.
I can access both F7 and F10 functionalities.
I already tried to upgrade the BIOS, downgrade de BIOS, reset the motherboard clock, tried to use another keyboard to see if the problem was with the keyboard, but nothing worked.
Can you guys please help me?
What happens if you try to access the BIOS through the Power Button Menu? To do this, press the power button and hold it down until you hear 3 beeps. The BIOS should prompt you for an option to procced. So then use F2 from there to access the BIOS and check if it works.
You may also test the system out of the chassis, placed on a non-conductive surface like a newspaper, a magazine or something similar, and testing only with motherboard, power supply and processor, Heat Sink and fan, one stick of memory and corded keyboard (not wireless), no other devices such as hard drives, optical devices, etc.
Furthermore, please post what is the model of the processor installed in the system and the part number and manufacturer of the memory sticks you have tested with. Is there any video card installed?
I had the exact same problem with processor i7-4770 and 1 Kingston 8Gb DIMM 1600 MHz (KVR16N11/8).
I was able to enter BIOS once I physically removed the nVidia 9600GT PCIe graphics card (XFX 9600GT 512Mb Alpha Dog Edition)
I tried to modify BIOS settings (disable UEFI for example) but was still not able to enter BIOS once I put the card back.
Other than entering BIOS, it works fine - on pressing F2, it remains stuck on the screen showing BIG logo with desktop board and Press FX to [...]
Hello Diego, first of all thanks for your time helping me!
I am using an i7 4770k.
When I try to access the BIOS through the Power Button Menu I have the same freezing.
So I tried to remove the video board card (EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW SIG2 - 02G-P4-3677-KR) and it worked!
Aparently the video board card dont suport your Bios, is there anything we can do?
Just in order to isolate any possible compatibility problem, have you tried using another video card in that system?
And to clarify further more, your system still freezes when using the video card, when UEFI is disabled and using the DVI port in the video card? So if you use the HDMI port it works fine?
Same with my PC. I have MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC card installed, i7-4770 CPU and 2x8 GB of Kingston DDR3 memory. When I remove vga card, I can enter BIOS setup (F2). If card is in place, computer freezes. I tryed to disable UEFI, but this doesn't help. I have latest MB BIOS (2013.06.06) installed.
