I have an HP computer with an Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family video card (and, according to the device manager, the latest driver). Adobe Photoshop CS6 has some new features which, when I try to use, claims that I need to set the CS6 preferences to "graphics processor accelerator." When I got to set this in the preferences the box is grayed out & when I hover the mouse over the box it says that I have an error in my display driver & that I should reinstall it or update it. When I check for an update, I find that I have the most current driver. Is my card not compatible? Do I need a new card (I got my computer in 2008 so I would think it's fairly up-to-date)? Any advice would be welcome.
Intel does not make discrete or "add on" graphics adapters. However, there are many PCIE graphics adapters available online and in local retail outlets that will work perfectly in your system. I would recommend doing a bit of research on that latest products available and consider one that supports the features you need and is in your budget.
