It seems be a windows registry problem after loading Windows Updates. You could try running system restore or even try to force the installation of generic drivers. See instructions for manual installation here:
I did install the Intel generic drivers as you suggested. System restore is past the dates when hdmi quit. When starting normally, vga video quits, saying no signal. In safe mode, in device manager, in display adapters, it lists
two g45/g43 express chipsets. Both have the lastest driver 220.127.116.115. one lists several resources and the other only 1 memory resource. Should there be two listings? I think something is wrong in the registery. Attached is a export of my registery if you can read it? Can you tell me how to trouble shoot the registery entrys for video?
