I am having serious trouble with the Intel AppUp Center.
When I tried to run from the system tray, and/or from the start menu option, I get the error "We're sorry, we are having trouble starting the application. Please contact customer support who will help you resolve this issue." The words "contact customer support" are hyperlinked to this forum.
When I try to run the uninstaller (with the intention of uninstalling, and then reinstalling the app), the application run_uninstaller.exe which is required to uninstall the software will have "stopped working" (and a pop-up will come up stating that, as typically happens when an application crashes in Windows).
But when I try to run the latest installer, hoping to override the existing version with a fixed version, I get the error "You are mixing the production with the integration version of the store. This is not allowed." Deleting the Intel AppUp Center folder from C:/Program Files (x86)/Intel manually does not help; the same problem comes.
How may this problem be resolved so that I can actually use the Intel AppUp Center?
I’d like to inform to you that the situation you are experiencing usually occurs when there is an application or security setting on your PC that is conflicting with or preventing the operation of the Intel AppUp(SM) center.
I would recommend to you to verify if Intel AppUp(SM) center is experiencing connectivity issues. Please follow these instructions:
Temporarily turn off your Firewall and Virus scanner and then launch the Intel AppUp (SM) Center and try to sign in to your account.
If the problem goes away, you may need to consult with your Antivirus or Firewall provider to add these files as exceptions:
Regarding the error message while uninstalling the Intel AppUp(SM) center client, I would recommend to you login to your machine using the Administrator Account of Windows*. After that, try again to uninstall Intel AppUp(SM) center from Control Panel, Programs and Features (Windows* 7) / Add or Remove programs (Windows*XP).
