Thanks Edward. I'm using the E5-2687w which isn't on that list.
It is on another list as supported though:
[click on 'view more' under Product Specifications]
I've tried one processor/one ram stick with the same results. Even in this configuration, which should be way below the power limits, it won't boot.
I've ordered a e5-2603 to see if it will boot off that. I have the E5-2687w's running in another server and heat and power are not an issue. I could go with the E5-2690 but they slower and cost more. I'd love to talk to an intel engineer about this if it turns out to be the processor. -- Bud
