1. Re: s5000psl One Boot Flash Update Utility problem in Win 2008 R2
emilec Apr 2, 2012 3:35 PM (in response to Echinus)Have you tried the EFI updated instead? You should reboot and reset BIOS to factory defaults anyway after an update, so you may as well use EFI.

emilec Apr 4, 2012 2:36 AM (in response to Echinus)EFI is safe. I've used it on plenty of production systems. Personally I'd much rather update from EFI than Windows.

Echinus Apr 4, 2012 2:52 AM (in response to emilec)As I understand I must replace BIOS with UEFI and then reinstall OS, or my OS will boot with UEFI as like nothing happend?

emilec Apr 4, 2012 3:04 AM (in response to Echinus)I checked the downloads page and I didn't realise the S5000PSL does not have EFI BIOS updates. Looks like your only options are OBF or DOS update.
So try DOS on USB: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19672&ProdId=2305&lang=eng&OSVersion=OS%20Independent&DownloadType=Firmware

Echinus Apr 4, 2012 3:48 AM (in response to emilec)Seems it's the only way to update my BIOS version. But it's not good for me, because I work on this server remotely.
Thanks for your help!

Doc_SilverCreek Apr 20, 2012 5:12 PM (in response to Echinus)When installing the OFU driversmake sure you install them from a command prompt and navagate to the driver location. The Install, bat is exspecting a path so the command is INSTALL \
Also I would install all the OFU drivers for BIOS\BMC\FRUSDR \syscfg and SELVIEW.
(Just seems to work smother if all the drivers are loaded.)
