I have a problem with the Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller. I have installed the driver, first from mobo DVD, then the update. But windows does not recognize it. It isn't even showing the in the device manager. Like it isn't initializing...
The USB 3 is activated in the BIOS!
When i open the utility, it states "USB 3.0 Host Controller not found".
Any ideas, or simular problems? Any solutions. Why does windows not see the hardware?
NB. I tried a windows installation in a non SSD HDD. I.e. a traditional spinning hdd. There the controller showed in the device manager. Whenever i run on an SSD, it does not... Could this be a speed issue of windows boot? The hardware does not have time to "power up" or was i just seeing the controller on the HDD installation out of luck?
Sometimes irt works, sometimes it doesnt... It does appear that the USB controller SOMETIMES appears in the device manager.
I turned the "Disable power management" on for the new driver. And i thought it fixed the issue. But no... It doesn't!
Reading arround. This USB 3 technology from NEC appears to very poor!
Just try extracting the drivers into a folder via WIN RAR
then open Device Manager
Right click on device for which driver is required (it comes with the exclaimation mark)
click update driver
select the path where you extraceted the drivers intially
I hope this will work
if not then you need to contact intel for RMA to have a check for hardware issue.
