Hi all,
Am new to this forum and have an issue that I'd be grateful for any help on...
I've bought the components to build a new PC from scratch. The key ones with regard to my question are:
Board: Intel DZ68DB
CPU: Intel i7-2700K
PSU: Antec VP650P 650W
RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM [Part No.: KHX1333C9D3B1/4G]
Have correctly seated the board in the case (all nine spacers and screws used; I/O shield installed.)
Have seated the CPU and Intel stock heatsink/fan.
Both the board and CPU power connections have been done, including the CPU fan.
Case front panel connected correctly.
When powering up, I get no warning tones and no display on my monitor. Nothing else apart from these components is installed and/or powered. The monitor is plugged into the Board's DVI port.
Is the RAM I'm using the problem? I realise that it's not on Intel's official list of tested memory modules but I'm wondering if it simply does not work.
Any help and suggestions appreciated.
Many thanks,
Andrew

UPDATE: it's working now. I ripped everything out of the case and started over, triple-checking every element as I went along. Reseated the CPU, replugged all the essential components, etc. The RAM - and board - now work fine!
