1. Re: how to clear ssd Password
ITPython May 23, 2011 5:44 AM (in response to keetian)You mean the SATA password/HDD password in BIOS to enable FDE? If so then you are out of luck, no way to recover it. Your SSD is nothing more than a expensive paperweight at this point. Not even Intel can reset it for you.

3. Re: how to clear ssd Password
Hi,
I have the same problem.
I bought a Thinkpad Edge 13 (AMD) and a SSD 320.
First I installed Linux and the System works well.
Afterwards I actived Passphrase encryption and ATA Password (HDP) in BIOS and can't unlock the drive anymore.
Is that just a mere chance!?
I don't need the data, too - I just want my freshly bought SSD back!!!
Regards,
rolli

5. Re: how to clear ssd Password
sage99 Jun 9, 2011 1:34 AM (in response to keetian)better return your SSD to your point of purchase, from what i know, ssd locked can't be clear unless it was lock using hdat2 then you can try to clear it else a new SSD is the only option
