In a couple of the marc symphosium presentations that were added recently I saw the mention of a MPI implementation with MPB support, based on MPICH2. Is this implementation available for download?
We have a few MPI programs that we want to run on the SCC and was thinking down the lines of writing our own wrapper API on top of RCCE to support it but if an MPI implementation is available we would like to use it instead of writing our own.
The MPI that runs on the cores is currently strictly internal. There are certainly plans to make it opensource. Unfortunately that won't happen until Q1 of next year. The code needs to be vetted to ensure that it doesn't compromise any Intel IP. If you're interested in how MPI runs on the cores, we can discuss that here. I've seen it work. It works fine.
