Intel raised the bar this year at Interop Las Vegas with high traffic at the Intel booth, keynote, session and panel. Questions were not just based around the Intel processors, but also the of how Intel play a role in cloud computing. Along with our keynote and booth demos, we were able to showcase examples and tell that story.
Last Wednesday, Intel’s Vice President and General Manger of Data Center Group, Kirk Skaugen discussed in his keynote, “Driving the Data Center Infrastructure for the Next Decade” how Intel is driving an industry to move forward with our Intel Cloud 2015 Vision of keeping open and interoperable solutions with the three pillars of the cloud; federated, automated, and client aware.
Also on Wednesday, Intel’s Iddo Kadim’s sponsor speaking session, “Realizing the Benefits of End-to-End Platform” discussing Intel® TXT, enabling public and private clouds as being the ‘trusted cloud.’ Iddo also had a panel that raised many questions, and great responses in “Building Private Clouds.”
To continue to show the ways in which Intel plays a key role in cloud computing, the Intel booth showcased six demos and conducted video interviews with Intel's Cloud Computing Program Marketing Manger, Chelsea Janes with many of Intel's partners and customers and other attendees. These demos, powered by Intel® Xeon, Intel® Core i5 vPro Intel® Core i7 vPro:
- Intel Client Aware Computing with Lenovo
- Intel Cloud Builders
- Intel Expressway Cloud Access 360
- Intel Expressway Service Gateway
- Intel TXT - Trusted Compute Pools with Hytrust
- Intel 10G Ethernet FCoE Solutions for Data Centers
Many attendees were excited to become part of the Intel Cloud Builders program as well as find out just how our everyday devices can be recognized by the cloud, and other cloud based applications. Everyone knows the importance security in the cloud, and thus, it was great to have a second launch and announcement of the Intel® Expressway Cloud Access 360 and Intel® Expressway Service Gateway in partner with McAfee Cloud Security Platform.
Intel was also partner with a press release with Force 10 Networks, on the uses of Intel® Expressway Cloud Access 360 for a secure way to deliver Federated SSO and Account Provisioning for Force 10’s cloud integration for Force 10’s top-of-rack switches.
Along with our demos we also had video interviews with many of our booth attendees, to ask them what brought them the Intel booth, and what demos and other Intel technologies have them interested. The third and last day, many of the vendors were able to talk with one another and our Intel interview crew branched out to interview many of Intel’s partners and customers such as Dell, Cisco, Panduit, HP, Force 10, and more about their growing relationship, combined cloud technologies, and continuous success. Come back and learn more by visiting this site to watch these interviews with Intel and other on our Intel Channel youtube site as they will be posted in a few weeks!
