    Intel® vPro™ Technology Use Case Reference Design



    One of the main uses for Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT) is to allow the help desk to do more remotely. Because Intel AMT can be accessed out-of–band (OOB), it opens up many possibilities for remote diagnostics and repair. However in order to perform remote diagnostics and repair a help desk application is needed that allows help desk staffers to access key Intel AMT features. This use case reference design covers RealVNC’s VNC* Viewer Plus. VNC Viewer Plus allows use of Intel AMT’s remote power on/off/reset commands, IDE Redirection, and KVM Remote Control.
