Intel has identified an issue on the Intel® 6th Gen (Skylake) and 7th Gen (Kaby Lake) based processors.
- This issue can only happen while the processor is in hyper-threading mode.
- There is a very low probability of exposure to the issue due to the significant number of complex conditions required to trigger the issue.
- A fix for this issue is available and started rolling out out to system manufacturers in April 2017.
- Intel recommends contacting your System Provider (Manufacturer) directly to make sure your BIOS is up-to-date.
