One of India‘s leading financial services companies, India Infoline Ltd. (IIFL) offers everything from equity research and derivatives trading to mutual funds, bonds, and investment banking. In a recent technology refresh and consolidation, the company migrated its servers to the Intel Xeon processor 5600 series and implemented Intel® Virtualization Technology, greatly enhancing its data center computing capability while taking a step forward in the company‘s Green IT initiative.
“With the Intel Xeon processor 5600 series-based servers, we created 80 virtual servers that helped reduce rack space and energy usage in our data center,” explained Kamal Goel, vice president of technology for India Infoline Ltd.
Endeca offers search and business intelligence technology to help customers gain fast, easy access to information. To maximize the performance of its software, Endeca switched to servers with the Intel Xeon processors 5600 series, gaining 10 times the performance of its previous architecture while using less hardware.
