Activate 'display power saving technology' when plugged in.

To combat the effects of a display with a poor black level I would like to use a feature called 'display power saving technology' in the intel graphics control panel. This gives the display a dynamic contrast feature and it does exactly what I want. It subtly dims the screen for dark scenes and brightens it for bright scenes and it works very well.

There's only one problem though. I can only enable display power saving technology when it's on battery, there is no option to select it when it's plugged in. I can't upload an image of the control panel for some reason...

Is there any tricks I can do to activate it? Or is there an updated Intel graphics control panel I can install that has this option enabled?

I'm sure there's some way to get it to work.

Can anyone help me with this, or know where to get a win xp copy of Intel Create and Share software?

received my upgrade cd for win xp for the product Intel Create And Share.

error message when installing: OX8O040707 failed to find dll function setupdll.wincpu

Product fails to install.

Is this the complete software for win xp or do i need a winxp version first?

I had win 98 version i tried to install on win xp but got error messages that it is not compatible with win xp. the software loaded (win 98) and some functions work but not all.

This upgrade cd fails to install over win98 version.

How can I resolve??

Intel ASC not working iasc.dll not found

Hello!

After installing the ASC v5 i can't Login to the Website. I have tried with new Browsers (FF & IE) and also with an old 3.6 FF.

In the Eventlog i get the following error:

Event ID 26, Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'C:\ASC\PHP\iasc.dll' - Modul not found.

Have you any Ideas what Problem this could be?

Intel’s Extreme Tuning Utility Error

There is a Screenshot of my Error below. I don't understand why I get it, I also get it with any Version too. I have also added a Screenshot of the Log File for anyone's Convince. If anyone could help me that would be great. I can supply any info you guys require.T Thanks for the help, DWreck.

Intel Update Utility - OS Selection

I am one of the Dell Community Rockstars.

I have been listing a number of unofficial driver sets for Windows 7 on the Dell Community for systems that Dell don't officially support on Windows 7 but run fine and hence frequently reference the Intel Update Utility. I have also been writing a Windows Reinstallation Guide Windows Reinstallation Guide and Related Software Guides [31/03/2013] - Dell Community.

One problem with the Intel Update Utility is that it only finds the drivers only for the current Operating System installed. e.g. if a user runs the Intel Update Utility on XP they will get Windows XP Drivers and not Windows 7 Drivers.

Moreover users sometimes need the Intel Update Utility for some Ethernet Drivers. Thus they must install the Intel Ethernet Driver before running the Intel Update Utility which kind of defeats the purpose of the Update Utility slightly. In addition Dell systems run best with the Service Pack then the Dell System Software, then the Chipset, then the SATA, Video, Communications, Audio, Ethernet, Wireless, Bluetooth and then Dell Quickset.

Can we please have a means of using the Intel Update utility and opting to change version of Windows so that users can download the latest drivers for Windows 7 or 8 before installation of Windows 7 or 8?

hey guys, this missing dll file is really ******* my computer up and it hasn't even been 3 months since i bought it.. anybody knows how to fix it??

its basically a forkbomb of these errors on my screen

i HATE you missing dll FILE why the **** would you wanna go missing anyways..............

all i can do is stop the process in the task manager

RST - list of windows events available? (Windows Event Viewer)

Teleport Extender Error: Error connecting to server

I have installed Teleport Extender on my IBM Thinkpad x220 and also on my HTC Evo 3D now running ICS. So far I have been unable to pair the two and am getting an error. I am guessing it is a setting on my computer either in network or security as I have successfully used this tool in the past with a different PC. I would like some help in identifying what setting needs to be corrected to allow a succussful connection.

Process I am following:

Start Teleport Extender on phone

Start Teleport Extender on PC

Choose the PC name on the phone and say connect

-->it starts working saying "Connecting to service"

--> after about 15 seconds it returns a message saying "Error connecting to server"

can't install driver windows 8 x64

I'm unable to install the driver for this on windows 8, on an hp envy4-1050ca. I get an internal error on the command line and it shuts down. the problem persists after a format. I have the same issue on Wireless_15_5_7_De32.exe for my n-2230 wireless card. they just shut down. if I extract the files, there is no inf file, so I can't even force install it. same situation with both. Any ideas? I've downloaded the windows 8 version of the 'setup.exe' that is currently posted for the smart connect. any way to force install these drivers?
