I installed Windows 7 Ultimate RTM version on my Dell Studio 1555 laptop with the Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset as the display adapter.
It has 15.4" screen with 1080p. The resolution is 1900x1080. RAM is 3 GB.
The Aero theme has display issues with the background picture appearing with a lot of lines and the display of application windows also get messed up.
Please find attached pictures of what happens to the background and a sample window (in this case Microsoft Paint).
I have updated the latest driver for the Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset. My current driver version is 8.15.10.1872.
It looks like a driver issue.
Can someone please help?
I noticed that the driver for Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset was last updated for Windows 7 RC1 version.
If it is indeed a driver issue, when will this bug be fixed and when will there be an updated driver version available?

Disable virtualization support in the bios and it fixes the problem. It's a known fault with the chipset. The other option is to install matching memory modules. This fault seems to be present with any computer which is using the 4500mhd intel graphics chipset. I had the same problem on my Dell e4200.

I have same problem as you. I read appropriate topic with this like:

http://communities.intel.com/message/73800# 73800
and also appropriate intel documentation. The solution should be to disable virtualization support in the bios or replace some memory modules.
But I have Dell Studio 1537 which does not permit enable/disable virtualization, in BIOS is not this choice. And also I will not change my memory. So what can I do? Waiting for new driver is maybe not good solution, because this issue is known from summer and later drivers was not resolve so far.
My system info:
Driver Version: 8.15.10.1986
Operating System: Windows 7 (6.1.7600), 32bit
DirectX* Version: 11.0
Physical Memory: 3030 MB
Processor: x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 13 (Mobile DualCore Intel Pentium T3200, 2000 MHz)

Also new version 15.16.5.2021 (8.15.10.2021) does not resolved this issue. Anyone has idea about it?

I had the same issue with my Dell 1537. Just reverted to an old driver dated 9/9/2009. Ver. 7.15.10.1908. Downloaded it directly from the Intel website http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18139&ProdId=2991&lang=eng http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18139&ProdId=2991&lang=eng. Aero theme works fine with this driver.
