I understand that the latest BIOS versions for the Intel(R) Desktop Board DZ77RE-75K caused problems with the SAS controller card that you are using.
If the problem is related to the recognition of the card or hard drives on the controller there is an option called expansion card text in the boot tab in BIOS that may help with this issue. Also setting a hard drive predelay may help you with this. The option will be under SATA configuration in BIOS.

Didn't work for me. Also, enabling "expansion card text" disabled the status that you get when updating the BIOS. The only indication I had was the flashing power led.
I'll just stick with 039.
