I have the same issues of intermittent sudden connection dropouts as reported by others with the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 Wifi adapter and the Intel Proset 15.x drivers!
My system is a brandnew desktop computer with an Intel i7 3770 Quad-Core CPU, an Intel Z77 chipset, an Asrock Z77E-ITX mainboard, 16 GB of RAM, and Windows 7 64-bit.
Previously, I already encountered the issue with this adapter's predecessor, the Intel Centrino 6230 and only managed to resolve it by going back to an older driver version. If my memory is correct, the Intel Proset 14.x version range worked flawlessly, but the 15.x drivers lead to the dropouts (I always use 64-bit drivers).
These can occur randomly after 5 or after 50 minutes. The adapter suddenly disconnects and won't reconnect to the wireless network unless it is reset. The wireless router itself is fine as there are over a dozen devices from all types of brands that connect regularly to it without any problem at all.
The fact that the problem occurs on two different cards (6230 and 6235) leads me to believe that there is a driver problem.
On the 6235, going back to a 14.x driver does not seem to be an option on the table, because the device seems to be only supported by 15.x versions. I already tried going back from the recent 15.2 version to the previous 15.1.1 (after uninstalling through the device manager), but the problem still persists. Now I just went back to 15.1.0 and it's been ok so far, but i'm not very optimistic.
I have tried different changes in the driver settings but with no success. The problem persists!

This is a very generic answer to a very specific problem.
My system (i.e. the Asrock Z77E-ITX mainboard) IS FCC compliant and I have assembled the system myself, so there's no OEM in that sense.
But if you insist, please list the technical requirements for compatibility.
I think your answer is entirely misleading as you point to the OEM or the end-user being at fault, instead of carrying out a thorough diagnosis. The adapter is recognized by the system and works 90% as expected. This thead is about eliminating a remaining (but very annoying) hickup.
The problem vanishes when switching off the 802.11n mode from the driver settings. Now, the bandwidth is smaller but there are no dropouts anymore. I only consider this as a temporary workaround rather than a permanent solution. The router is an n-router of course and all other devices work fine in n-mode.
I hope this guides Intel in their search for a solution (but are they trying at all?).
Just joined up to report the same issue. I've got the samsung np700z5ch-so1us and it packs this wireless card. Ironically i got this to replace my old laptop which had more severe wireless issues. Anyway this problem is driving me nuts, because if i'm playing a game about every 3 minutes I personally lag for about 3-10 seconds. It can't be the router because all my friends are sitting next to me playing (Starcraft 2 specifically) and they have no issues. If it were a bandwidth issue then they would feel it too. I'm currently downloading something on steam and took a screen shot to show the issue because my download rate is plagued with occasional dl rate "valleys". I don't see any way to upload that. Also my drivers are up to date, I've tried disabling n-mode and ensuring the power setting are set to max to the wireless adapter whether i'm plugged in or on battery. Intel can we get a response here?
I have recently purchsed a Samsung laptop (UK version), with Core i5 and the advanced N 6235 driver, and are also experiencing the exact same problem. I have sent the laptop back to Samsung and it came back apparently fixed, however its happening again. Sometimes after 20 mins, sometimes after hours! The wireless will state that it's gone to limited connection and then when you either disconnect to reconnect or trouble shoot, its sends the screen blue with a failure and then disables the Intel N 235 driver. I have no idea what to do next?! How do i also report this problem to Intel? Drivers are upto date also. This problem doesn't happen on any other devices we have on Wifi!
I am also having issues with the Intel N 6235 wireless adapter. I have just purchased a new Samsung NP530U4C laptop with the N6235. It either doesn't connect or drops off after a few minutes, and the only way to reconnect is to restart the computer. I have other laptops in the house that work fine, so it's not the router that is causing the problem. Is there anyway to fix this?
Louisa - I have the same laptop, ive had it a few months now and still i'm getting drop outs. The laptop has even been sent back to Samsung but they returned it stating fixed and no problems, despite me sending all the screen prints of drop outs, fro anything from intel disabled, not enough memory to use etc etc Hope they find a solution soon as its drives me up the wall!
I also bought a series 5 laptop recently, and experience the same problems with the Advanced-N 6235 WiFi card. I constantly have problems connecting to my wireless network, and when I finally have a connection, it drops regularly (streaming is a disaster). I have several other WiFi devices that, without exception, connect to this network without any problems. The neighbors let me test it on their secure network, but with the same connecting problem as result. I discovered that the 6235 has no problems connecting to a non secure network, but only to a secure network. It's clear to me that the problem isn't in my network settings. I hope this problem will be solved soon!
I had the same problem. I think I have a workaround this problem. In my case (samsung series 5 notebook), the wifi card appears in device manager lacking of resources.
Therefore, I released some resources DISABLING the WIRED network card and rebooting computer.
It tooks some minutes the computer updates things and reboot, but after that....WOW you DO have stable wifi access. Of course, the lan port is disabled, but wifi works.
Now the device manager shows several new devices, using other other drivers.
Is a workaround worth trying in the meanwhile of a better solution from Intel.
I have the same problem. A Samsung 5 Series Ultrabook just 1 month old with this wireless adapter. There seems to be little knowledge of or acceptance of this issue by both Intel & Samsung. The default response is to send it for repair which, as we've heard from marie chapman, is not really going to be the resolution we all seek.
I've downloaded the latest driver but the .exe file won't open or run to update the driver. Wish I'd bought a MacBook now :-(
Same problem with my series 5 samsung ultrabook. WiFi signal is poor, RSSI is 10-15 dB lower then on other laptops. WiDi isn't working, in 2 meters from receiver it shows signal level only 3-4 out of 5, and I even can't watch 720p because sound and video drops and finally it gets disconnected on signal lost.
Here's another one... Having a Samsung np530u3c. Same network problems here, wifi works for only a couple of minutes, then drops and i only get sporadic accecs. Very, very annoying. I also tried the trick to disable LAN-port but that did not help. Any other suggestions? Intel should realy post a reply in this thread on how/what they are doing to figure out this problem!
