DZ77GA-70K bios version 0049

Hello,

I wonder if you could help me try to boot my DZ77GA-70K motherboard into linux. I was able to boot in uefi mode from cd/usb with version 0035 of the bios. However I could not get booting from the hd to work.

With version 0049 of the bios, I am not not even able to boot into uefi through a usb/cd. It gets stuck after it attempts to load vmlinuz.efi

Are there any known bugs with version 0049 that would prevent me doing this?

Hello yuumei,

I understand that you are experiencing problems with UEFI boot using Linux*.

I recommend you to post your inquire in to the Linux* forums, they may have additional experience on this matter as Intel(R) is not validating Linux* based operating systems as compatible.

Ah ok, helpful. Could you at least tell me what the status code "C6" means? It is not on the sheet of status codes.
