Hi.
I got a Samsung NP900X4C and a Netgear PTV2000 adapter.
I have looked alot on the forums but it dont seams like someone has the same problems as me.
Here's my problem:
I can connect to my adapter and everything works fine for 35 seconds then it disconnects everytime, i have timed this about 10 times and its allways 35 seconds. after i disconnect i can reconnect immediately but after 35s i get disconnected again.
I have proset 15.1.1.0 and WIDI 3.1.29.0 installed.
any suggestion on this problem is appreciated.

Hi
I tried switching to "balanced mode" but i didnt help, i also tried putting the devices next to each other but that didnt help either.
Any random disconnects i could live with but that its always 35s is really bugging me, i tried to find some settings in the wifi-proset but found nothing that helped.
Any other suggestions?
I have the EXACT same problem (the connection always disconnects after 35 seconds). My setup is Asus Zenbook UX32VD, Netgear PTV2000 and a Samsung 46 inches LED.
I have also tried the power option with no luck. Have you been able to find a solution to this?
No I'm still working on it.
Interesting to see someone else have the same problem.
Can there be a problem with the new ivy bridge CPU or the HD graphic 4000, since that is one of the few things our laptops have in common.
I have the i7 3517U if it is down to a specific model, i also have the latest HD Drivers.
Hi I have exactly the same issue on windows 8 release preview: I get disconnected everytime after 35s.
Latest drivers installed.
Samsung slate xe700.
Driver/firmware used:
- Intel HD 3000/2000 Beta Graphics driver for Windows 8 v9.17.10.2792
- Intel(R) PROSet Wirless WiFi Software & Drivers incl. Intel(R) My WiFi Technology v15.1.1.0
- Intel Widi Software 3.1.29.0 or 3.0.13
- Firmware belkin 3.1.29
I am too using Windows 8 consumer preview.
Drivers used:
- Intel HD 4000 Beta Graphics Driver for Windows 8 v9.17.10.2792 (without these I won't even be able to connect)
- Intel(R) PROset/Wireless WiFi Drivers 15.01.1000.0972
- Intel WiDi Software 3.1.26.0
I will try and upgrade the WiDi Software to the latest version and will post if this changes anything.
No further progress. However I noticed the following in the event viewer which happens at the same time as the connection is disconnected:
"The Intel(R) Content Protection HECI Service service terminated with the following error:
No more data is available."
I disabled the Windows Defender and Firewall but no other result.
Hi Alexander
I don't have the HECI error you mentionned. In which event log did you see it ? System ?
Hi again,
Yes it is shown in the System category. However I'm not sure this truly is related to the problems we are experiencing with WiDi. But still, the error happens when the connection is closed.
workaround is there ![]()
Enjoy !
Great workaround, i dont know how you found it but great work.
The last comment in there helped me alot and now it works fine.
Thanks
This is workaround has been posted by Intel team not me.
The workaround works great! Thank you all a lot!
