Hello. I've updated the BIOS up to EB0071 on DH77EB desktop board recently and found, that the Rear Fan speed is no more adjusted in Auto and even in Manual mode. The rear fan rotates at full speed always.
Could somebody tell me how I can report about this bug? Thank you.
Hello,
We recommend using the "fan re- detect “option in the BIOS and if the issue persists remove the RTC (Real Time Clock) battery and leave it out for 20 minutes. After this period of time, insert the battery back in and turn the system back on; if it displays POST messages, go into BIOS Setup Utility by pressing <F2> during the boot process. Once in the BIOS setup utility, press <F9> to restore BIOS default settings. Reset any customized BIOS settings. Press <F10> to save the new settings and reboot the system.

Dear Dan, hello.
Thank you for your answer. But I could not find such option in my BIOS unfortunately. There is only "Restore Fan default settings" in the BIOS and it does not help.
Tomorrow I will try to remove RTC battery for a 20 minutes.
Thank you.
Does anything change if you go to the Intel Desktop Utilities program and select Options -> Set Sensor Thresholds -> Fans Redetect?
Hi
i have the same problem
Intel DH77EB Bios 0071 Win 7 (32)
I try the "20 minutes RTC battery out"
No effect, same Problem
Glad to hear, that I'm not alone...
It looks like the only way is the waiting for a new BIOS version. I hope that Intel engineers sometimes read their forum.
I have the same problem on the Intel DH77EB Bios 0071
There is no "fan re- detect “option in the BIOS (and not in the technical documentation of the board) as proposed as a solution.
The "20 minutes RTC battery out" has also no effect.
I hope there is a fix soon.

Hi.
I've updated to EB0075 BIOS and reset all settings to default.
Intel(R) Desktop Utilities still working. Let's see what will happen in a few hours.
Rear Fan is adjusted now and works not on 100% speed. My system became works more quiet now.
