Thank you for your post. The download center was under maintenance, we apologize for the inconvenience this caused you.
The link for Windows* 7 drivers download would be:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21143&ProdId=3062&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%20%2864-bit%29*&DownloadType=Software%20Applications
You would use the 2nd download (Wireless_15.1.0_Ds64.exe) for the driver only file or the last download (Wireless_15.1.0_s64.exe) for the software plus driver package.
The driver version you are listing is actually the latest one that will install for your wireless adapter (Intel uses one driver package for all wireless adapters; it would just load the appropriate ones for the hardware you have). But in regards to the errors you describe it may indicate that corruption or mismatch.
Try to download the drivers from your laptop manufacturer (which are usually customized and tested with your specific system set up) then uninstall the current drivers and install the ones you just downloaded. To uninstall the drivers and software see the steps below:
1- Go to ‘Start’ right-click on ‘Computer’ click on, properties, then on device manager (on the left panel) click on “Network Adapters”\Double-Click the adapter name\Drivers Tab and click on the “Uninstall” button.
2- Remove the Intel® PROSet software from Control Panel\ Control Panel home\ programs, ‘uninstall a Program’
