Hello naeembabakheil,
I see that you are experiencing problems with your optical drive.
In regards to the problem that you are experiencing, I recommend you to test with a different model or optical unit, the power supply could be another reason for your optical unit disappearing.
Please make sure tthat you are using the latest BIOS.
Regards.
PV
It'd also be worth checking with the optical drive manufacturers website to see if there's a newer firmware version for your drive and if so, flashing that to your drive IAW their instructions. This sort of problem is often resolved with updated optical/DVD drive firmware.

The simple answer is YES - it's best to leave any jumpers alone with SATA optical drives (unless you have specific instructions from the manufacturer detailing what its for). Unlike older parallel (IDE) optical drives and HDDs, SATA drives generally don't need any configuration via jumpers. Have you been able to find a firmware update from your DVD drive manufacturers website?
no not yet i have old Toshiba Dvd writer how can i find its firmware
Inspect the drive and get it's part number (more reliable than looking in Windows device manager - although sometimes the hardware line in device manager will disclose the firmware revision you currently have - see the screenshot of my LG Optical drive with firmware version 1.03). You then need search the manufacturers website for newer firmware (or phone their tech support line if they have one). Good luck ![]()
thnkx for replying !!!
