Just upgraded my DX58SO2 BIOS from 0876 to latest 0888. The upgrade (from within Windows 7 64-bit) went fine without problems.
Normally I am never in a rush to upgrade to a bios version which is just out. But I was having problems with my WS 1TB SATA HDD being invisible after waking from Sleep mode in Windows 7. I also upgraded to latest chipset drivers v9.3 and also to Intel RST 10.8 drivers, both from Intel website. Problem seems to have dissapeared after a few tests (i keep my fingers crossed).
What a coincidence: Just yesterday I was bemoaning that RST 11.0 WHQL drivers were still not downloadable directly from Intel web-site and lo and behold, they are available today, even certified for the DX58SO2:
