I'm not entirely sure it's my mobo but from the looks of it, it could be.
The issue in question is that my computer turns on, turns off, and then turns back on whenever I press the power button. It also does not connect to my monitor whatsoever so I can't even tell if it is booting up or not. When I look at the mobo while it does all this, the only thing I can see that might be of some significance is that a light on the mobo that looks like it could be the Alternate Front Panel LED, lights up blue, goes out when it turns off, lights up again blue when the computer starts up again but then goes out while the computer is still running.
I built this computer about 2 years ago and I haven't had any problems with it until this.
If anyone has any ideas as to what could be causing this problem or how I should go about getting it fixed please post something.
Here are our recommendations to narrow this issue:
1. Please, place the board over a non-conducting surface. Just plug in the power supply, the video card, minimum amount of memory, and the processor, and try to boot up. In some cases a metal piece coming from the chassis could cause grounding to the board and would not operate normally or could be caused by another component as well.
2. Test with a different power supply.
3. Test the system without any memory installed looking for beep codes.
4. Clear the CMOS battery and restore defaults in the BIOS. Ensure yup have the latest BIOS version for the motherboard:
