Configuration:
Intel Core-i3 2100 Processor (3.10GHz)
Intel DH67 BL B3 motherboard
G-Skill 4 GB DDR3 1066MHz RAM [Single DIMM] [DIMM Slot #1]
NZXT Source 210 Elite Cabinet[Two fans included] + Corsair CX430 SMPS
Seagate 500 GB SATA HDD
[No PCI/PCI-e/Graphics card/Optical Drive]
Problem:
Can't get to the first successful boot !!
No screen. Very irregular responses from all the fans. Sometimes the machine powers up and seems like it keeps going in reboot loops(I can't verify that because the screen shows nothing)
Symptoms:
No sound at all. Haven't heard the motherboard make any sound since i got it. -- No Beeps[Even with the RAM taken out]
No video -- The monitor slips into standby mode as if its getting no signal [Tested the monitor[DVI-D input using a DVI-D cable] with my older machine .. The monitor is fine] -- Checked for DVI-I/DVI-D compatibility issues but older machine uses same DVI-I -> DVI-D setup and there it works fine.Sure test complete.
Powers on without pressing the Power button and sometimes keeps rebooting[judging by the blinking lights] -- Replaced SMPS with older machines 450W SMPS -- no fix -- Corsair website confirmed that for my new configuration, CX430 is sufficient! -- Any thoughts ?
CPU / Other 2 fans - work fine [But not at all times
]
I suspected the SMPS(but the replacement did not fix) .. now I dont know what to think .. any sure test for the mobo(other than replacement)?
Thanks for all the help in advance. I need to get this machine to work as soon as possible. Any ideas are most welcome!!
Hello shackeldmystic,
i have the same problem
1) my first configuration
Configuration
intel Core-i3 2100 Processor (3.10GHz) -65w
Intel DH67 BL B3 motherboard 6w to8w
adata 4 GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM [Single DIMM] [DIMM Slot #1] 1.5w
i ball cabinet with 220v psu
Seagate 500 GB SATA HDD 10w
Dvd rw LG
Samsung 20 inch b2030
Two case fan.
[No PCI/PCI-e/Graphics card]
Problem
motherboard -no display, processor fan spin again and again,no beep after removing memory
Soved temporary-i get replacement on the board.
2)Now the configuration
intel Core-i3 2100 Processor (3.10GHz)
Intel DH67 BL B3 motherboard
adata 4 GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM [Single DIMM] [DIMM Slot #1]
i ball cabinet with corsair cx500w v2 smps(psu )
Seagate 500 GB SATA HDD
Dvd rw LG
Samsung 20 inch b2030
[No case fan ,No PCI/PCI-e/Graphics card]
Problem
After shuting down system log on automatically, syatem and psu fans restart again and again .
solved by changing Psu(smps) to iball again
Now System is working-
Troubleshooting ideas
Main problem i think after asking experts ,checking Intel DH67 BL B3 motherboard technical document is
1-power supply specification .Intel recommends 460w psu with 20amphere each for 12volt rail ie 12v1 and12v2.
2-also keep on mind there should be sufficent power from psu from 5v ang 3.3v ie 20a and 22a each to wake up from sleep mode
3-Case fan may cause voltage fluxtuation if conected to psu directly ,try to get one that connect todirectly inside mobo rear fan pin
,if not this mobo will fail
But cooler master site psu calculator and other sw psu calculator software shows that 200w psu is enough.
---'my dual core system works fine for 250w smps for almost 5 years with out any problem'
Any way lam again going to replace my corsair cx500w v2 smps which is faulty.
I am still investigating and welcome any suggestions............
Rahul.
