Hi, i know the dp45sg to be delicate when it comes to memory. i think robert gifford had this board, he will prob be able to help you more than i can.

Robert Gifford to the rescue , The DP45SG Requires DDR3-1333, 10600. if you have DDR3-1333, 10666 , it will not post Because the BIOS is looking for 10600, I know this sounds crazy but 66Mhz Makes the difference on weather it will post or NOT.
Sorry to say but corsair does not make 10600, I been using Crucial ( CT2KIT2566BA1339 ) this is a kit of two 2GB sticks I use 8GB. works fine , you can even OC it up to 1400Mhz.at 1.6 volts.

I have had numerous post on this subject and found out that DP45SG will run memory DDR3 PC10666 9-9-9-24,had numerous problems with this board and Corsair XMS DDR3 1333,Corsair finally suggested that the XMS 2GB Density was incompatible with the board,so they gave me a set of DDR3 1333 10666 9-9-9-24 and I was able to max out the board with 8GB,but I was still having a problem with the board auto detecting the memory using a Duo Core E7500 1066,Upgraded the processor to a E8400,1333 and the bios is auto detecting the memory to run at 1333,it was also was rebooting and now it boots at first power on. Now the build is running like it was designed to after numerous RMA's mothrboards (4),memory (4)

Yea that was not the best board intel ever built , they had a bunch that had bad connections in the RAM slots , So I Switch to the DX48BT2 Board , Which is a great Board , No bugs at all Good overclocker . Rock solid , By the way the last Ver. made is Ver.#207 If you can get a new one on Ebay for about $160.00 Thats a deal and worth the change everything on the DP45SG will work on the DX48BT2.

the only way we can do is buy a new Board or change the ram to DDR3 1333 PC10600.....

I'm glad I found this discussion. I have a DP45SG using 8 GB total memory. Memory is Kingston KVR1333D3N9K2/4G, (4 - 2GB sticks). I have a problem with random shutdowns. I'm talking as if someone just cut the power. I've already gone through all of the obvious. replacing power supplies, using UPS... Basically replaced everything. Even received a replacement MB under warranty. I've determined that I can put 2 sticks in dual channel with no problems. I've used every combination of the 4 sticks I have without a problem, ran memory diagnostics on them 1 at a time with no problems. Even ran the machine with 1 stick at a time, again, no problem. As soon as I put all 4 sticks in the machine, the problem returns. I've Talked to Kingston and cousair on this issue and one thing that said is to bump up the mem. volts to 1.58 or 1.6. I did this and made the sys much more stable , The SPD will set mem. volts by default at 1.5 volts.
I wanted to give it time before I replied. It has been 11 days since I increased the voltage to 1.6 and I've had no shut downs. Thank you for your help. You have fixed a year long struggle I've had with this system. (Now that I've said that, I'm going to the nearest lumber yard to begin knocking on a lot of wood.)

Hi Kevin, I have the same board, ram ...and problem that you have.
Was the problem solved increasing the ram to 1.6? You can try with only two dimms of 2Gbs on the blue slots, that worked for me, but I need all the ram I can use.

Walter the problem is not the ram it's the BIOS the BIOS is looking for 10600, not 10666, 66Mhz makes either not boot or if you can get to boot it will not be stable .
This is the RAM you need. You can overclock it by raising the volts to 1.6 volts I have mine at 1400Mhz. stable and fast .
