I have recently added more jumpers to my D845EPT2 motherboard and I removed them an d placed it how it previously was. The light on the board is still green but it wont boot.
Does your system boot? If no, then
Check if your processor is on the compatibility list and make sure to check which bios version does the board requires for the cpu to work properly. Also check if the memory meets the requirements.Website: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/category/dsktpboards/d845ept2/cmptbl
If both of these components meet the requirements, then continue to the next steps.
1. Remove the memory Does the board issue any beeps? If yes, how many?
2. Then try a bios recovery using a formatted USB media.
Instructions for Recovery BIOS Updates
Try this wizard:
All the best,
It does not beep. The computer starts up but nothing is displayed on the screen. The processor os fine, I was using the computer before I added more jumpers. I have removed then and placed it as it was before.
Try the processor on other compatible board and memory as well.
This will confirm whether board or CPU is faulty.
