SOL cannot keep up with serial console at 19200+

I read through section 5.4.6, "Configuring Linux to support SOL", in g37830001_servermanagementguide_r2_0.pdf, "Intel Server Boards and
Server Platforms Server Management Guide". While a baudrate of 115200 isn't specifically recommended, the screenshots do use 115200 as the baud rate. I have tried various speeds from 9600 on up. Only with 9600 can I get the display to keep up with the boot sequence. With anything above 9600 (e.g. 19200 and up), characters are dropped when displaying the boot sequence. What can be done about this? Why can't the SOL display keep up with a baud rate above 19200?
