Is there such a thing as vPro for notebooks?! YES. vPro for notebooks is referred to as Centrino vPro.

A list of systems that are vPro ready can be found here: http://communities.intel.com/openport/docs/DOC-1420

You can also run the Intel vPro Technology Test Utility tool on your system to determine if it is a vPro ready system. That tool is here: http://www.intel.com/support/processors/tools/vptu/

Pls HELP !
Give where you can read more about the technology work in the context of VLAN VPro. Trying to adjust to the use of tagged VLAN for Vpro interface, AMT receives an address from DHCP, but this address is not responsible for the ping and is not available through the web. If not enable VLAN tagging all ok.

I would recommend trying the vPro Packet Decoder to see where the packets are being dropped. I would also validate your routing between VLAN's to ensure key ports are not turned off. see Jeff Torello's prior post on Ports. Also what version of AMT are you using?

I woud like to know if the mobile processor like T5270 would work with virtulization such as XEN or does it require the VT integrated in the chip only like t7500

Take a look at this post http://communities.intel.com/message/3043#3043 to get more information on processor virtualization.

A list of processors and capabilities of each can be found here: http://www.intel.com/products/processor_number/chart/core2duo.htm

My SCS database is currently 18GB in size. I suspect the majority of this is log data. I set the 'Keep Log Time' from 60 to 15 days and restarted the SCS services on my 3 SCS servers but the csti_log table still has 3.7 million rows. I'm wondering how I can manually clear or prune this log file since Intel has requested that I export and send this log using SCS console gui. I've considered truncating the table or running the cspi_delLog or cspi_cleanLog stored procedures but did not want to try this without getting the OK from Intel. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
Thanks

The Core 2 Duo Processor found in the vPro platform has the performance you need. If your software supports multiple beyond 2 CPU cores, I'd suggest the Core 2 Quad CPU's to give you even more processing power.

You can check for Intel Processor compatability with your Intel Motheroard at the following Intel website; you may have to check your OEM's website for compatability with your particular vPro branded computer.

In response to "What is the support for Cisco Nic Card."

Intel vPro requires the use of the Intel NIC that is integrated into the Intel vPro ready client system.

I'm trying to set-up a provisioning server for my office as we are integrating into a VPro environment... When i attempt to connect to the server after setup with Intel AMT SCS Console... it gives me an error saying "Login Failed: Reason: Unable to connect to the remote server"

Any suggestions on what i might be doing wrong?

Can you validate that your server name is responding to a ping ? then is the syntax correct for http or https based on how you setup the SCS console. I assume you are using the AMT SCS console as part of the DTK that you downloaded. is this correct?

hi,

this is raghavendra. i have taken an assembled personal computer with a configuration of

1. INTEL MOTHER BOARD DG31 PR

2. PROCESSOR CORE 2 DUO 2.20 GHZ

3. 4GB RAM

4. 250 GB HDD

5. LG DVD WRITER

6. CREATIVE SOUND SYSTEMS

7. HP DISKJET D1460

8. HEAD PHONES

9. ATX CHAMBER WITH DUAL FANS

This my CPU's configuration, which cost me Rs. 21,130/-. I took this configuration to run SAP CRM product. After installing the SAP CRM 5.0 with O/S WINDOWS SERVER 2003 SP2, I was not able to get AUDIO on my PC. I intalled the MOTHERBOARD CD (DG31 PR) to fix up this problem. I got failure. I downloaded Audio drivers from the INTEL website to fix the AUDIO problem, at last I got the Success. But now I encountered with another issue. This time VGA drivers are not working. I was not able to see my screen clearly.

The audio drivers are enabled in the system on 4BIT COLOR, not 32 BIT COLOR. When I tried to change the settings from 4BIT color to 32 BIT color, system is not accepting the changes.

Now what I want is, Get the system in the perfect mode. That means I want get a perfect system without having any AUDIO or VGA DRIVERS issues. Can you send me a Patch so that i can fix up this issue.

regards,

raghavendra,

The Xeon 7000 series CPU's are meant for MP applications (4+ cpu sockets) which is a different socket type than the Xeon 5000 series processors.
