Data Center Heat Recovery Helps Intel Create Green Facility

Intel IT designed a system that saves energy by recovering data center heat and using it to heat the rest of the building. Reusing data center heat yields an estimated $235,000 US annual savings. Air Conditioning is a process of removing heat from one location and then realeasing it into another. So instead of releasing the heat directly to the environemet, use it for another purpose first.

The new mindset can be to ask "Are there any uses for the heat produced from the Data Center that can save money and conserve energy?"

What is the saying... one persons waste is another persons treasure.
