Intel ASC in not working. Lighttpd can not star't. When try to start it gives an error:
Iniciando lighttpd: 2010-07-12 13:20:11: (network.c.332) SSL: error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0)
Any solution to this?
Thanks
Did you get a chance to look at the release notes, I think I saw something around this. See http://downloadmirror.intel.com/19016/eng/ActiveSystemConsole_v_4_1_Release_Notes.pdf
Thanks jytan.
The realese notes does not mention this issue.
It seems that lighthttp is broken with openssl (http://redmine.lighttpd.net/issues/2189) . The problem is fixed in lightttp, but Intel choose to include version 1.4.23 of lighttp in ASC4.1 package, so it doesnt work. Is there any way to raplace this version?
Thanks.
I am assuming that you are using Intel(R) Active System Console 4.0 or 4.1 on a supported platform - correct.
Tried it here & did not encounter an issue.
I'm having the same error on a S5000VSA running Centos 5.5 64Bit using the last ASC 4.0 build 19.
Any solution?
According to the supported operating system page http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sysmgmt/sb/CS-030311.htm , Centos* is not included
I know, but Centos 5 is the opensource version of RedHat 5, by the way I found a solution wich start lighttpd, I modified the conf file enabling ssl.use-sslv2 and creating a sel certificate. Now lighttpd is working but when I login I see only the menu on the left pane while the center page is allways blank, showing only the header and the mouse cursor is showing a wheel rolling. I looked the log file of lighttpd but I found no error. Is there a log file where I can look? Is there a debug/verbose mode to see warnings or errors?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks nmassi.
I'm in the same situation as you. When I log in ASC console (sometimes I can not log in), I see a wheel rolling and nothing happens.
Maybe there is some difference between Centos and Red Hat that I'm not aware.
It would be interesting to know is someone is using ASC4.0 or ASC4.1 in RHEL5.4 and if it is working or fails equally. I'm sure a lot of people uses RHEL.
Thanks in advance.
Ricardo.
Below is the response i got from IASC validation team.
“Currently IASC is not supporting RHEL 5.4, 5.5 & supported version is only RHEL 5.3. Lighttpd is a 3rd party and the one packaged in IASC 4.0/1 when it was released is supported by IASC only for RHEL5.3. A new post in terms of patch update will come up for supporting RHEL 5.4/5.5 in the next few weeks.”
Thank you very much.
I think a lot of people are waiting for the new release. It is hard to understand why it is not already out. RHEL 6.0 is comming soon ....
I just tried 4.2 (08/12/2010 release) version but same result. Still not working, modified lighttpd conf file but on login I have a wheel rolling and nothing else.
System Centos 5.5 (RHEL 5.5 based).
Found in IASC 4.2 release notes:
Lighttpd packaged with IASC has a conflict with openssl libraries packaged in RHEL5.4 and RHEL5.5. The package has been tested to work with openssl-0.9.8e-7.
The complete sentence is:
"Lighttpd packaged with IASC has a conflict with openssl libraries packaged in RHEL5.4 and RHEL5.5. The package has been tested to work with openssl-0.9.8e-7. Visit Intel support site for workarounds"
So where is the workaround?
Same problem here, we bought 5 servers, installed CentOS 5.5 and IASC, but its a real NO GO!
Im very very disappointed, we specialy bought this servers cause of the good Intel Linux software.
Maybe next time its better choose HP servers....
A patch is available to resolve this issue, you can download it at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19292
