Hi, I have tried every bios out there to no avail. I think it wont flash due to not being able to read the current BIOS ID. Is there anyway to force the flash?
Format a usb stick in FAT system (try the oldest 1 you have) if you can find a 256mb thats the perfect 1 but probably any other should work...
after that, download the lastest version of your mobo´s bios, download the .BIO one.
Copy the downloaded file into your fat formated usb stick, then remove the cover of your computer and locate the configuration jumper.
By removing the jumper the mobó is forced to flash the bios from the usb stick.
Before you flash the bios remove all the perepherals you have.. mouse, printers, hard drives, cdrom and be sure that the only usb port that is in use is the usb stick with the bios, disconnect your keyboard if the keyboard is usb.
also remove all but 1 ram memory stick.. that way all must go OK..

One last try:
- Download the utility BootFlashDos to create a USB DOS Bootable memory stick.

Create the USB Dos Key.
Copy and extract the whole content of the file onto the root directory of the memory stick.

Boot the system onto the USB.
Run the command autorun.bat.

I think for whatever reason the currently installed BIOS ID has been wiped. I am not sure whether you can get it to flash a new BIOS id without it being able to check the currently installed one.
This has been caused by the express bios upgrade which from now on I will never EVER use.
Is there any way to flash it?

Have you tried to clear the cmos by removing the battery and power plug for 5-10 minutes?
Then try again to flash the board bios.
One more thing: I am assuming that you have the ram module on the memory slot dimm0.
However if the board is booting into windows, you can try the Board ID utility.

If you can still go into the bios, what is the bios version, full string would be better to have.
Then go to Additional System Information >> Desktop Board Information
AA number and Serial No: ??

Does it show the bios information correctly and board information as well.

I think its time to admit defeat. I will pickup a replacement board next week. Thanks alot though for all your help I have tried everything you suggested to no avail. I cant get it to boot into windows as it goes to boot the hard drive it has flashing blocks on the screen. To be honest its getting on a few years so an upgrade is no problem.
