i have DG 33FB motherboard with quad core 2.4 ghz processor. yesterday i updated my bios with latest version available on intel download centre. But computer didnt boot up on restart. It is not showing anything , just black screen.
I have tried every possible method given on intel site like removing and the placing back CMOs battery and also all posible bios recovery methodsgiven on site but nothin worked.
Even maintanence mode is not showing.
i have tried that too.
but nothing showed up on screen.
what exactly this recovery method is??
is this method is different from the one in which we remove cmos battery and keep it out for 10 mins?? I have tried that and alos other methods given on intel site but this one wasn't there.
Please tell me how to perform recovery using this method??
It is the Recovery bios update procedure. Click here to read the pdf file. It requires you to remove power to your computer. Remove the bios jumper. Put CDROM or Flash drive or floppy disk with bios file in the particular drive. Power up.
thnxx man for the promt reply but i have tried it already.
I though u asked me to remove cmos and jumper and then do something.
i have tried all the methods given in that pdf already.
i dont know what i am doing wrong.I have followed the procedure exactly.
do i need to make USB stick bootable ? If yes, then please tell me the exact procedure. It will be very helpful to me.
There is no need to have the flash drive bootable if you are doing the recovery. When you are doing the recovery, do you find the CDROM drive or Floppy drive activity LED blinking? If yes, that means that the system is trying to load the bios file (It takes time to load the bios file). So use an old version bios that you find to be working previously. Do not use the new version.
