I know I am right and Intel is WRONG, but since I cannot change the rules of the game they play = MONOPOLY, I have decided to quit and stay away from Intel MOBOs for some time. This is NOT the first time Intel simply "washes its hands". What was the name of the ASUS MOBO that someone recommended here? was it P5 QL PRO or something like that?

    Regards,

Looks like I am the lucky guy, no issue for me to install and play Win7, all devices works properly--Vista drivers are working perfectly in Win7, including ME & Audio

What Version of W7 are you running (32/64, Enterprise ore other)?

Look for 'event-ID' 12 from source 'HAL' or 'event-ID' 11 from source 'Disk' in the 'system'-event log. Any record?

    Kind Regards

    I use Win7 32bit Ultimate 6.1.7600

ME driver version is 3.0.30.1086, and Audio driver is 20001.0, both download from Intel download center and for Vista, but works perfectly on my system.

I do found there are only 4 errors (I upgraded my system to Win7 in last Oct.) in system event log (from HAL, event-ID 12), says memory was damaged due to the firmware and suggest me to upgrade firmware, but honestly, i do not think there is any issue with my system.

@yanqiang. Sorry mate - but that's where you are wrong! If you use powersave features under Win7 - like hibernate, standby, etc., - you will notice sluggish performance, when your computer leaves any of said functions - if it is even capable of leaving powersave at all! This is due to memory corruption. Basicly your memory is filled with redundant data, which your computer cannot recover from without a reboot or shutdown. This is why I don't use powersave functions at all!

    Kind regards

Yes, it's in the IDU package I linked, HECI subdir, just unzip and do a driver update in device manager pointing to that directory.

I am using a DP35DP with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  The PCI communications controller driver is in the me download.

It did not install properly for me but it did install using the Program Compatibility wizard in Windows7.  I let it pick the settings and the installer ran and installed the driver.

No problems, also updated the bios using EB launched from Windows 7.  Had the July 2008 bios and updated to Dec.

I have at least 3 of these in all.  1 has been running 64 bit XP on this board for a couple years. Another, I use  as a Server 2003 TS Server for a small group of 5-10 users.  they run dual screen desktops off this and it works great.  then this one that has been recently updated to Windows 7 x64.  All with Quad 2.66 CPU's.

I can't say enough good about this board.  My only complaint was that I had to slipstream the Raid driver for this to load XP and Server 2003.  And Acronis had issues for a while with this board - (it has been fine for sometime now). No problems ( other than installing this ME driver) with Windows 7.

To the guy that got the Azus P5Q, I have one of those too and it is a great board, definitely a better board than this- it is newer.  I got it for the extra 16x slot. I wanted  an Areca raid 8x controler in addition to a video card. I am happy with the Asus board but I prefer Intel 9/10 days.

Would I buy a dp35dp today?  No it isn't the right technology but it was great 2 years ago and all the ones I bought have been FAST and rock solid STABLE.

There is probably nothing more to expect from the part of intel regarding this board :-(

    (see 'http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=29053').

Has anyone had any experience regarding downgrading the BIOS? I don't need details regarding flashing and such - I would like to know which BIOS version - and if it solved the memory corruption problem? Right now I'm testing this BIOS version "DP0507C.BIO" - and I'm not sure wether it helped or not. If any of you guys have tried and had success, would you be kind to reply?

    Kind regards

    Saludos,
