RAID5 ADD 4TH DRIVE WITH MATRIX STORAGE CONSOLE

Unable to install 4th 1TB drive on RAID5 Normal system. Could only add 4th drive as a RAID spare. On Modify Volume, Volume Capacity Expansion is greyed-out and is not able to be selected. Also, took 24hrs to rebuild 3rd RAID5 drive on Win7 64bit P6T, I7 975 cpu, 12gB RAM system. Is all of that normal? falk at investusa.net

Will there is lots of talk about if the ICH10R supports Volume Capacity Expansion which is now listed as “yes” here

so... whys it not working? Here are two reasons:
The Volume Capacity Expansion is greyed out but is clickable.
Or that this is the system using MBR which is limit to 2TB.
