AppUP charge for $1 valid?

I signed up to the AppUp service, which required giving credit card information. I downloaded two free aplications, and now I see a $1 charge on my credit card. Visa queried it, but when I saw it was from AppUp I said it was ok. But now I'm wondering. Anyone else have this happen? Thanks.

Hello,

when you register your account a $1 transaction will be booked on your card to verify that your account data is correct. No money will be taken from your card and within a couple of days this transaction will be removed automatically.

Thanks, Andre. I suspected as much, but also knew that sometimes the bad guys try a small charge on an account to see if the details they have intercepted are good. Have a cup of coffe on me for a quick and helpful response. Richard
