My AppUp application cant connect to the internet. Couldnt register, login, or anything that requires internet. Running windows 7.
Hello!
Be glad to help you out! Are you running Windows7* Ultimate? If you can tell me which flavor/version of Windows7* you are running and also, can you browse the internet with your netbook? Meaning, can you bring up a browser and browse google.com? If you can provide more details on your actual connection (wired, wireless, connection speeds, etc..) it would help greatly!
Regerds,
Corey
All i know is windows 7, i didnt buy the laptop, it was a gift. I connecting wirelessly to an 802.11 linksys wifi router. I can connect to the internet through my browser and all other applications on my computer. Fast connection, usually (depends on what im doing) idk the exact speed, but i believe 54 mb/s.
I now know that it is windows 7 home premium

I'm having the same problem. I've put a screenshot of what I'm seeing here: http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/7467/capturebn.png
My system is Windows 7 Professional x64, Core 2 Duo, 4GB laptop. The same problem shows regardless of whether I'm connected wirelessly or by an Ethernet cable.
One thing that is slightly unusual about my networking setup: I've got Sun's VirtualBox installed, and that software installs the "VirtualBox Host-Only Network" into the host Windows OS. Just to be clear: I'm running "Intel AppUp(SM) center Beta" in the host OS, *not* in a VM. Anyway, my thought about this is that your software might be looking at the wrong network connection - it sees the VirtualBox "network" and the fact it has no access to the Internet? Unfortunately I can't disable this driver without uninstalling VirtualBox (or so it seems).
EDIT: One possibly useful bit of information: the "cannot connect" message appears immediately. There's none of the delay one might expect if a program was waiting for a network timeout.
I'm happy to test a new version, if you're trying to chase this problem down.
Cheers

Thanks for the update! Is you could take a screen shot of your actual network connections for historical arguements, and post it here, i would greatly apprciate it. Make sure it does not contain anything personal in the screenshot.

Same here - Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
Any fix?
Single ethernet connection from Dell Inspiron 530 to Dlink DSL-G624T router.
Fixed it by logoff/logon as in Known issues!
Hi Steve,

Same issue as above, and I'm on Win7 Ultimate. I've tried the following to no avail:
Please help.
Thanks,

Hello Stephen,
I just tested the Intel AppUp(SM) Center Beta on Windows 7 Starter and Windows 7 Ultimate, both 32-Bit Editions. Everything worked fine, to download, install and launch games etc.
Some questions:
- Is your Windows version in 64-Bit ?
- Do you use any Firewall software ? If yes, could you switch it off for a short test and see if the Intel AppUp(SM) Center Beta works then ?
- If you use a proxy server to connect to the Internet that could be a problem, too.
A good cross test would be to test a notebook of your friend with your Internet connection to see if the problem is with your computer or with the Internet connection.

Thanks for the quick reply Andre.
Yes, I'm on the 64-bit version.
I use Windows firewall, but the on/off settings are managed by my sysadmin, so I can't change it. However I have explicitly gone in and added AppUp and checked all the permissions, so I'm pretty sure it's not the problem.
I have another notebook on my network (also running W7 Ultimate x64) and it can use AppUp just fine.

Stephen
Hello Stephen,
The Intel AppUp(SM) Center Beta does not currently support 64 bit versions of Windows 7 so we will not be able to pursue this further at this time. Since you do have it working on another system you may want to verify that your system date is set to today's date. We have seen an incorrect system date cause this issue.
