Hello Support,
I just purchased G : Into the Rain from the AppUp store and I am unable to launch it. I receive an error: "This application is not authorized on this computer. Good-bye"
I first received this error last night, I have since today uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the appup store. I still receive the same error.
I also downloaded the free Yoono desktop and received the error: "This application was not authorized for use on this machine"
I downloaded Boxee and I AM able to run it.f
I download "Fun With Letters" and receive the error: "This application has not been purchased for use on your computer"
Hello there - let's see if we can help you. I need a bit more information from you, hopefully with these steps we can resolve your issue quickly:
1. What OS are you using / Service Pack (so for example, Windows XP with SP3)?
2. Are you showing the applications under the "My Apps" section?
3. Are any of the apps you downloaded reflecting under the "Pending downloads"?
We'll be watching for your response.
Mary
1. Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2
- I am not the administrator on this machine, but I do have permission to install software
2. My Apps shows 4 apps: Yoono, Boxee, G: Into the Rain, Fun with Letters
3. No, pending downloads are 0
I just downloaded and tried to run "Newsy" and received the following error: "Failed to obtain authorization"
Is the authorization server not accessible through most business firewalls? I am behind a firewall right now.
That's very possible that your company does not allow the download, installation, and authorization protocols necessary. Are you able to try these applications outside of that firewall?
I signed on to the internet using an aircard, outside my firewall and still received all the same errors.
I have been able to download, install, and authorize boxee and I am able to run it.
I cannot run any of the other apps for various reasons all relating to authorization.
Hello ryang!
Is there any chance you have login as "administrator" and try to install and run the applications again? Curious if the permissions are being passed correctly by the other applications. Since Boxee is working, it seems defintely like a permissions issue related to your user levels on the system or on the backend with us. Trying to eliminate this possibility!
Regards,
Corey
Hello,
as you use Windows XP with SP2 instead of SP3 there can be problems with the authentication before an application starts. I recommend to install SP3 if possible.
