LENOVO U350 CHIPSET GS45

Hi,

People checkout LENOVO U350 has Chipset GS45 which is top of the line notebook chipset and which supports top the line core 2 duo CPU aswell, but this notebook come with SU3500, Intel GMA, 4GB DDR3, etc,... If SU3500 is for GS45 so any core 2 duo with socket P will work in this machine. As far as the difference of CPU voltage is concerned, i am just talking about performance. Is it possible to replace SU3500 with any SocketP core 2 duo????

Thanks

The SU3500 isn't a socket P chip it's a BGA956.

It's the top of the line 5.5W part, I guess you could swap for a SU9600 but there 10W so it might get a bit hot.

Should be good to go, keep a close eye on the temperatures.
